American Idol’s Lauren Alaina: A Look Back At Her Performances (VIDEOS)
This is it, folks. Tomorrow is the American Idol finale. It’s a battle between the country teens, Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery. Who will win? I think it will be a toss up. It’s too hard to tell right now who will reign victorious. Here we will take a look back at 16-year-old Lauren Alaina’s previous performances. Are y’all ready?
And then there were two… If you had told me back when the season had started that we would see a country final, I would have looked at you and said no way! Now before everyone gets in a tizzy, I have NOTHING against country music. All I’m saying is that with the talent that comprised the Top 13, I thought it would go differently. We had some crazy moments and shocking eliminations along the way, but that’s in the past and this is the present.
So here we are, the final two. Two teenagers whose heart and soul are country. As I was gathering the videos of her past performances, one thing definitely caught my eye – girlfriend looks amazing! She has lost a ton of weight over the last few months. In the first few weeks of the competition, you could see the hesitation, the shyness and her lack of confidence. In the last few weeks she sang with conviction, believing that she could very well be in the finale. Well, my dear… your dreams have come true.
We must still remember that she is only 16 years old. I cannot even imagine what is going through her mind as she prepares for the night of her life. She has proven to everyone that she is worthy to be up on that stage, fighting for the title. She has connected with viewers, myself included, and I am very excited to see her perform tomorrow.
