I got it done in an actual hospital (unfortunately in the womens clinic area..lol). He used the Lyra-i ND: Yag, which I have researched as being the safest/best for my skin type (I am somewhere between IV-V). For the back story, I am a young black guy who has been suffering with razor bumps (pfb) for years and am sick and tired of how much anxiety it has caused me. Wasting hundreds of dollars on other “treatment” methods to no avail. I read that even after one treatment a great improvement in razor bumps can be seen. So I finally saved the money and went for it.

Believe it or not, I also have a job interview tomorrow and am wondering if I should reschedule for maybe next week? unless there is something I can put on this that will reduce swelling? If someone with actual experience could answer that would be great..

Electrolysis is definitely not an option. Not only would it take years and cost way more than laser. It is also much more painful I hear and for the amount of hair I would need, it would almost surely scar me/cause ingrowns. The laser that I went under is actually made for darker skin types. Also, when he ran the laser over areas with very light/fine hair, there was very little pain at all so I know its not just zapping skin.

Vitamin B3 – Commonly known as Niacin

This vitamin plays a key role in hair growth and general health maintenance. In fact a deficiency of niacin, when severe, causes a condition known as pellagra which is characterized by hair loss and skin problems, but also heart failure and dementia. It is rare, but not unheard of to see pellagra in the modernized world, but low grade niacin deficiencies are noted quite often. Vitamin D

This vitamin plays a critical role in cell growth and differentiation. It activates DNA and stimulates proper growth in a natural healthy body. In hair cells it is specifically critical for triggering the anagen growth phase of a hair life cycle (Amor, 2010). Deficiencies of Vitamin D, which can be very common especially in cold climates, lead to less hair regrowth, thinner hair and increased baldness (totsi, 2009). Unlike niacin no topical vitamin D ointments have been studies, and the only way to get your vitamin D is through oral intake or direct exposure to the sun. Direct sunlight on your skin triggers your body to produce its own natural vitamin D.
Other vitamins also play an important role in hair growth and it would be unfair not to mention that vitamin E, and the other B complex vitamins also play important roles in hair health and hair growth. But science supports the role of vitamin D and Vitamin B3 supplementation for general health as well as hair health. If you are losing your hair, do not ignore the possibility that you may need to supplement your diet to give your hair a fighting chance at being healthy, regrowing and helping you cure your baldness.

The last time I checked, blue hair was solely for Marge Simpson, the punk/goth high school set, and Katy Perry. But Selena Gomez is once again reminding us of the tricks up her sleeve — the “Love You Like A Love Song” singer dyed the ends of her hair electric blue-purple and it looks effing awesome!!! Selena recently tweeted, “Change is good… My girls @ninezeroone take care of me always LOVE,” along with the photo above.
